Visitors to Playa Grande, Flamingo, Huacas and Brasilito areas may have noticed our signage. "Slow the Frijoles Down" is designed to help us take a breath, take our foot off the gas pedal, be mindful of our actions, and respect the little communities we pass through.
In Costa Rica there are no side-walks. Drivers must slow down or risk bodily harm to one of the many cyclists, street-walkers, moms with strollers who have not much choice other than using the road as their walkway.
